Saltaire Festival and Arts Trail

I have had an absolutely lovely day out in Saltaire with my hubby whilst our daughter was at a horse show with her riding school. The sun shone, the open houses were amazing (20 participating now in an Arts Trail which started with 6 houses), the continental market enticed me to buy lots of scummy things and there were so many lovely artists and people there it was just like being back at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge!

This is the website of Mark Yates (who has showcased his work in Heart Gallery over the last 2 years) and who participated in both the Arts Trail (6 Harold Place) and had a stall on one of the busy streets selling his 'touring' merchandise. http://www.markyates.co.uk

The street entertainers were amazing ...

The food was scrummy ...

and my new boots are so comfortable ...

glad I wore them as we covered some miles!

So, this is the link for this festival and Arts Trail so bookmark it and if you didn't get there this year then do try to manage it next, it is worth a visit. x

Oh, and this is Clare Caulfield's pen and ink drawing of the united Reformed Church in Saltaire, photograph above, her work is amazing and available at Heart Gallery ...
